Here are the highlights from today’s Killer Instinct stream from Play XBLA…
- Story mode being shown for the time. Specifically, Fulgore’s story.
- Major feature in lobbies is spectating.
- Sadira’s classic costume will be available around the same time as next week’s update with Arcade Mode, Fulgore and Lobbies.
- Shadow Jago sort of has his own story, but not in the same context as the other characters.
- No plan for a Shadow Jago classic costume.
- No new colors for Shadow Jago for now. Claim’s fans will be happy
- Story/Arcade Mode will not have achievements. May be
- Season Two has a “really nasty” boss. He will also be a playable character.
- There are teases to things for season two within some of the endings in arcade mode.
- Shadow Tiger’s Lair will be in next week’s update.
- Fulgore has an
- Considered doing rivals with dialog.
- Story Mode for Season 2 will receive a pretty big overhaul. Expect it to be better.
- Will find out about Season 2’s release later on.
- Tusk would be completely reimagined, regardless of when/if he comes back.
- Discussed a bit about some of their favorite moments when developing season one. Counter breakers, first time seeing the prototype in action and so forth.
- There are only seven characters to fight against in story mode. Characters chosen depends upon which character you’re playing as.
- Development with Iron Galaxy Studios will be consistent with how it has been developed so far by DH.
- Want to make changes to tracking players stats and such in Season Two.
- Will look at changing Spinal’s skull colors in Spinal vs. Spinal matchups.

Reimagined. Every character up till now was reimagined to a certain degree. Obviously Tusk won’t be the exception (if they add him) .. he needs a design that goes with the times. Gotta also consider KI 2013 is trying to steer away from the whole time travel deal.

I hope you’re right, but I’m just looking at Glacius, Thunder and Saberwolf who’s got an absolute change, can it be even bigger change lol? My wish is that he’ll being a good change like they already did on all characters, but I hope he’ll keep his long sword and his classik moves.
Perhaps it could be an even BIGGER change for Tusk. Who knows for sure. We just have to wait and see and time will tell too particularly (and hopefully) at this year’s E3 convention this coming June 10. Above all I am totally with u on the new changes/redesigns for the other original KI characters including Tusk, and I’m pretty sure that he will be kept largely intact for Season 2

Mike, I have a question for you. Who’s going to be the boss of Arcade Mode? They say that’s going to be playable, so it’s a totally new boss or could be Shadow Jago?
I now think it is a totally new boss since Shadow Jago already happens to be a playable character and I quite hope it will be a new boss too in the Story/Arcade Mode of KI

I really hope that we’re going to receive 2 or 3 new characters shown as teasers at least but above all we just have to take a wait-and-see approach and time will tell too particularly at this year’s E3 convention this coming June 10. As for the boss the developers did say that Season 2 will have this really nasty boss in it

Honestly it doesn’t look too bad and quite cool too but I don’t care very much for Thunder’s classic costume at the same time. Also I now prefer Chief Thunder’s new design/redesign since it looks MUCH MORE awesome, wicked, amazing, rad, epic, and badass than the classic design. So overall I will now take Chief Thunder’s new design over the classic anytime

What a load of crap, super late to the stream and we didn’t see anything new. Arcade mode just looks like survival mode with only 7 characters, and something at the end which wasn’t shown because they started late and couldn’t beat the game. The delay and all that time it took to make arcade mode, I hope it’s better than what it looks like right now. I also love how every one of my questions were ignored. Not watching the streams anymore, got better things to do than watch these guys play the game and say the same things every time: (you’ll see/maybe in the future/oo that’s a cool idea/) I really really hope that I’m judging too quickly, but this shit is annoying as hell! My hope is that once enough characters are in the game, that Microsoft will approve the budget for a mk9 type story mode. So far arcade mode is meh.

Story/Arcade Mode STILL has not been release yet and I can certainly imagine the developers are STILL going through some modifications and adjustments as well as tweaks for it so they can work out/resolve any last remaining bugs and glitches in Story/Arcade Mode. And besides they also said that the Story Mode for Season 2 will receive a pretty big overhaul and expect it to be better too 🙂

As for the Neathereal-like Story Mode coming for Season 2 I am not sure nor do I know anything about that at all. In fact this was the first time that I ever heard about this particular detail/feature/aspect for Season 2’s Story Mode until now, I believe
