IGN has posted a new video of Maya gameplay footage fresh from the Tokyo Gameshow floor as she battles it out against Sabrewulf. You’ll also see a portion of the game’s all-new interface including the character select screen (separated by seasons), a newly designed vs. screen, new artwork for the earned fight titles popping up on screen and more! The new UI isn’t bad but it still needs to grow on me
Small gripe but I noticed she currently shares Orchids knockdown animation. Hopefully they address that soon.
Her real ultra combo was on the video teaser wen they first show her Wen they so the mummy

Long the characters in the spot I’m ok with it now they need no mercy ,ultimate an stage finishers in
I knew they had to do something with the character select screen because with Season 2 there will be a total of 16 characters and will take longer to get to your character just with the wheel. The versus screen though I think they can improve on it.
Overall reaction: KILLER COMBO!
It seems like they went for the simplified tech look for the interface and got rid of thier personal logos too. I was hoping for something a bit more dynamic. I do agree that it doesn’t fit the intensity that KI Brings. Hopefully this look doesn’t effect the Combo Text during a match, I like the way those are. Guess we’ll see how it plays out. Time to go finish my Dojo achievment before things change. I’m on the last lesson, just was too lazy to go through the whole lesson cause its pretty long and difficult. lol
I think the UI will grow on me but the ONLY THING I REALLY DISLIKE is the fact that in the character select screen, they SEPARATED the characters to reference SEASON 1 and SEASON 2 into separate groups. I think it should just be all together so people don’t have some silly bias when choosing characters, especially newer people who get the game.
Definitely agree that both the Season 1 and Season 2 characters should be grouped TOGETHER instead of separate from each other
it is separated so when you play people who just own season 1 and people who may just own season 2 wont have a bunch of blank spaces everywhere….its actually awesome they did it this way because you can clearly tell season 3 is on the way

There doesn’t need to be blank spaces, for those who purchased particular characters, they should have them all grouped up and pretty much empty boxes disappear. I see that as a logical fix. I REALLY HATE SEPARATING THE SEASONS AS THOUGH THERE IS DIFFERENCE WITHIN THE GAMEPLAY OR GROUPS AMONGTS ALL.

IG slated DH for the UI a little said it wasnt KI and then took all the KI out of it lol.

yeah its funny that the character select is nothing like ki 1 or 2 and i thought the versus screen looked a bit boring. But still as long as the balances and new characters features are good does not bother me
