Today during the Gamescom Xbox briefing Killer Instinct Season 3 was officially announced and will be releasing on both Xbox One and PC in March 2016.

I’m proud to announce that Killer Instinct Season 3 is coming March 2016 to Xbox One AND Windows 10!
If you own KI today, you’ll own it on Windows. And all your content, progress, achievements and friends come with you.
We are supporting cross platform play; and on Windows ALL of your controllers and fight sticks will work.
I am also excited to announce that Killer Instinct will feature guest characters, and that KI and Rare Replay players can get a sneak peek of Rash from Battletoads – coming TODAY!
We will have more information as soon as more is released!

I would like the guests characters came from the perfect dark or Kameo.
Season 1 = Great….. Season 2 = Garbage.. all characters need to have the same powers/shadow meters… cant have some characters that can counter hit and most that dont… Aganos and the grudge looking chick are the 2 worst characters i could ever imagine… way to blow it!

Since S3 is coming out in March 2016 will the characters be released periodically like S1&2 or all at once?
I’m guessing all at once, S3 is coming out so all of its content and the previous ones should be there. ( Just a guess though )

I think Rash was chosen since he’s also a Rare character. I’m a little nervous about Season 3
but am glad at least it won’t be 1 character per month. I just hope they nail Tusk and Kim Wu, if the rest of the cast is crummy, all will be forgiven by me.
I find the Alien/Xenomorph to be a MUCH MORE suitable and fitting as well as better character for Mortal Kombat X than for Killer Instinct, in my honest opinion

Awesome news!!! Not really excited about Battle toads though. Kinda lame..it could have been someone way better or a classic character. but whatever..I love KI

I agree, let’s finish with Kim Wu, Tusk, bosses, & Shadow Jago!. Shadow Jago should be first since he is a established character with his move-sets. ULTIMATES too!

Yes, our dream did FINALLY came true for Season 3
good, but it’s very late in march 2016, I hope players will be still interested in the game at that date… I fear the “oh, KI again, no thx” effect…. plus, I hope they will complete the reboth as it needs, with ultimates, stage ultras, all stages, all old chars (eyedol & gargos included)
