Here are the highlights from today’s Killer Instinct stream…
- Season one characters may receive more colors.
- Would love to work with Mick Gordon again for Killer Instinct’s music. No confirmation as of yet on his return.
- They’re may be additional taunts added for the characters.
- Have been discussing new features such as No Mercies and Ultimates for Season Two.
- They are not considering having ringouts. Do not believe it to be in the spirit of KI.
Ring outs not in the spirit of KI!??????
Does no one remember the sky ring that both players would agree to going to by holding down and medium ? This was a challenge between players multiple times in the arcade and was used in my own circle of friends at home to decide tie-breaker rounds for sudden death.
Yeah. I know, right?
Also they BETTER implement Stage Knockoffs in Killer Instinct or we KI fans are going to get pretty upset
when more color and when season 2 and when no mercies ultimates fatalities for stages and when teaser? Thank u much real love killer instinct #1 badass smile
Next month this coming June 9 or 10 at this year’s E3 gaming convention. Also the developers did say that Ultimates and No Mercies WILL be previewed in the Season 2 trailer and overall the Season 2 trailer WILL makes its premiere at E3 2014. I can hardly wait for it 🙂
Along with the rest of the original KI characters including Cinder, Riptor, and TJ Combo, of course 😉
What about instead of have new colors, maybe a rgb system when everyone can create their own custom color?

I didn’t say bring it all back though, I did exclude Tusk and Maya since I felt they were weak additions, but if they are re-imagined and better executed then yea bring them all back. I always found Tusk awkward fighting with a heavy barbarian long sword making flips and combos…story wise it fits in with the time continuum/opened portals meddling thing with Ultratech Corp.
I think they should totally bring it all back… Duh… That’s why this is a remake… So we can have all the goodies that we used to love all wrapped up in a bigger, more badass package….nothing was hotter than Orchid’s red, black and gold body suits.. Those should have hit first….but either way this is a great game.. Instead of ring outs how about stage transitions?? This would be so HARD!! And plus something new… But the team did mention how excuses stages were…. 🙁
I’m loving the idea for each character getting an extra taunt or sign of respect-taunt. As for more colors I feel it is a good idea since 5 including the original doesn’t feel like a whole lot of variety so definitely a 3-4 more colors would be nice. Ring-out are not needed, I would rather they focus on bringing back Cinder, TJ, Riptor, Kim Wu, Gargos, Eyedol and a slew of new well integrated characters that mesh with the original characters. I strongly feel that Gargos and Eyedol should retrun since they are part of the background story (warlords from the past transformed into demon-like creatures and brought back by Ultratech’s meddling with portals (time/space continuum). What do you guys think?

Wait. You’re referring to Stage Knockoffs, right? Then in that case I now agree: That will definitely SUCK BIG-TIME if the developers are not planning to put them in for Killer Instinct ;p
Fewer highlights today. Oh well, at least we now finally GOT new infos and details on the developments for Season 2 and overall for Killer Instinct.
For Mick Gordon I already have a pretty good and positive feeling that he WILL return to be the composer for the characters’s theme songs both old and new ONCE AGAIN for Season 2 😉
I now totally agree with them: Putting/adding in ringouts for KI is definitely NOT in the spirit of Killer Instinct
Additional taunts for the KI characters? Including Respect Taunts? Those would be sweet.
No Mercies and Ultimates for Killer Instinct Season 2? Wicked, awesome, rad, and badass. At the same time I already had a really good feeling that the developers will AND are going to put them real soon and I can’t wait to see what they look like for each of the other KI characters both old and new 🙂
