Former Rare artist Steve Mayles shared a gif earlier today of Scare Reader, a monster featured in Rare’s Xbox original haunted adventure, Grabbed by the Ghoulies. If you look very closely as the gif, as Scare Reader turns around, you’ll notice that the book he is reading is actually a Killer Instinct book!

Can you see it? It’s a bit difficult to see given how quickly he moves, but he’s definitely reading something KI related. Perhaps that’s how all of the Ghoulies in the mansion learned their skills providing beat downs to Cooper?
