With yesterday’s release of Windows 10, it is now possible to stream games from your Xbox One directly to your Windows 10 enabled device. So let’s take Killer Instinct for example. If you own the game already on Xbox One and have your PC and console connected to the same network, all you need to do is open the Windows 10 Xbox App, select Killer Instinct, and instantly begin playing the game on your PC! And yes, your fightstick and Xbox One controller are both compatible!

Now I do want to stress that this is not the PC release of Killer Instinct! This is simply just another way of playing the game. If you don’t have an Xbox One, you can’t play KI on your PC at this time. The full PC release is coming sometime in 2016!

  1. If you have the voodoo required to make an XB1 Fightstick or 360 Fightstick work with Win 10 streaming, please let us know. The only thing I can get working presently is the official XB1 and 360 controllers. Everything else (my XB1 and 360 fightsticks) plugged into the PC gives a message “This PC isn’t connected to an Xbox controller. Attach one and try again.”

Seems like there should be nothing preventing it if you could simply get past the Xbox app’s controller detection and remap your USB controller buttons to whatever the Xbox streaming app requires to be bound.
