Microsoft has posted a video of a behind-the-scenes look at the sound design behind Killer Instinct: Season 2. Throughout the video (embedded below), Microsoft’s Creative Director Adam Isgreen, Killer Instinct Composer Mick Gordon, Microsoft Lead Sound Designer Zachary Quarles, Iron Galaxy Audio Lead Chase Ashbaker, and Microsoft Sound Designer Jeff Dombkowski discuss the intricacy and process of creating many of the unique sounds heard throughout the game. A few examples include broken-in-half ping pong balls for Kan-Ra’s scarabs, taco shells for Hisako’s walking sound, and exploding plastic bottles filled with fuel for Cinder’s pyro bombs.
