Microsoft has released the official FAQ for the Killer Instinct Pin Ultimate Edition. Below you’ll find plenty of details about the character pins, challenges, pricing (if you don’t win them) and more! For more details, visit the official FAQ page.

Character Pins:

• A new character pin will be released each month for a total of 8 at the end of the season
• Character pins are available for purchase at the Penny Arcade online store for $14.99.

Challenge Pins:

• A new challenge (with corresponding pin) will be released each month for a total of 7 at the end of the season
• Challenges can either be in-game achievements or community engagement activities
• Complete that month’s challenge and we will send you an e-mail with a discount code that brings the cost of the pin to $0 (you cover shipping/handling). The discount codes are valid for 60 days after we send them. Only one code can be redeemed per order.
• We may have some cool pin giveaways at specific in-person events. Stay tuned!
• If you missed participating in any of the monthly challenges, no worries, the challenge pins will also be available for purchase at the Penny Arcade online store for $14.99*
• All pins will be limited in quantity, so make sure you grab them while they last.

Eligibility Requirements:

• You need to activate your Pin Ultimate Edition token (provided in box) using the QR Code or manually inputting the 25-digit code. You will then be able to see the Pin Ultimate Edition Add-On as part of your Xbox One game collection (press the MENU button on top of the Killer Instinct title and select ‘Show all add-ons’ – ‘Killer Instinct: Pin Ultimate Edition’ should show up, it does not need to appear as installed).
• You need to register into the promotion providing your Microsoft Account login email (the same one that you use on your LIVE account and that you used to activate the Pin Ultimate Edition token as mentioned above), as well as your Gamertag, 25-digit code of the token and an up-to-date contact email address.
• If, by any chance, you threw away, torched or sacrificed your token card to the fighting game gods before registering, fret not. Just correctly input your Gamertag and Microsoft account and fill the 25-digit code field with 00000-00000-00000-00000-00000. We might take a while but we will find you.
• Email confirmations of the registration take a while to go out. If you do get your discount code for a complete challenge before the confirmation email, you are all good.
