This video is a promotional VHS video of Killer Instinct 2 that was sent to coin-op arcade owners back in the 1990s in an attempt to convince them to purchase the arcade. It’s really cool and shows how serious Rare and Nintendo were about the game. Watch the embedded video for yourself below…
Does anyone remember that ghost feature? I don’t recollect that being in the arcade or Killer Instinct Gold. Perhaps it was a removed feature?
WOW! that was awesome! thanks for posting that! Man id love to have the original arcades in my house. they are really not too expensive at around 1,000 each on average.
Jago’s ghost was in KI2, but not KI Gold. It was either down forward back or down back forward quick kick. You risked being finished off sooner and the payoff was six bars of super meter. It didn’t have that Fulgore sound that’s in the video.
That was Jago’s Instinct/Shadow Special. You have to activate It IN the first round I believe. It would take a 1-4 your health away. But when you died In the second round you would come back as a shadow Jago. And continue the fight! 😉 That may be the new “Shadow Jago” that comes from the 12 month Gold subscription.
