Did you know that you can now customize your Xbox One dashboard? With the most recent update to the Xbox One system software earlier this month, Microsoft has allowed the option to set different backgrounds to personalize the appearance of your dashboard. The backgrounds are solely based upon the Achievements unlocked in the games themselves that you play. So let’s use Killer Instinct as the perfect example. If you have the game–which you should!–and have unlocked any of its many Achievements, you can easily utilize the following steps and have KI as your Xbox One background:

Step Four: In the ‘Killer Instinct Achievements’ section, find a picture from any of your unlocked Achievements and select it.

Step Five: After selecting your picture, choose the option ‘Set As Background’ and return to the main dashboard menu. Voila! You now have a Killer Instinct themed background!

The above listed process will work for any Xbox One game, but remember that you absolutely must have the Achievement unlocked first to be allowed to set its picture as a background. It gives a bit more of an incentive to work toward unlocking those Achievements doesn’t it? So if you fancy adding a bit more flare to your dashboard, follow the provided steps and personalize your Xbox One background!
