Here are the highlights from today’s Killer Instinct stream from Play XBLA…

Fulgore

• He is really coming along.
• Will be great for people who like to manage meter.
• Very excited to see how players perform his combos.
• His Shadow Meter and Instinct Meter work harmoniously together.
• Confirmed to be a Zoner.
• Fulgore and Glacius will be a very interesting match-up.
• He is a mix of new stuff and KI 1 and 2.
• He still has his teleport move.
• He cannot turn invisible.
• His teleport is different than Spinal’s.
• Character isn’t fully polished yet. Still some work left to do before release.
• He has a dash/run move.
• Does not have a dive kick.
• At a basic level, he is not difficult to use. It’s how players utilize his tools that will determine how difficult he is or not.

Other News

• Reiterates once again that Shadow Jago will eventually get his own move set.
• Want Shadow Jago to be available to everyone.
• Replays will not be deleted after every major update.
• Lobbies are still on to be released later this month.
• Have been thinking about what to do with the other old characters as well new characters.
• No set date for the other Classic Costumes.
• Early adopters will not have to pay for Shadow Jago.
• Sadira will receive her own Classic Costume.
• Jury is still out on whether Spinal is too strong or not. Want to watch more videos before determining if he should be balanced.
• There is a version of Thunder that has a Mohawk (may be Classic Costume).
• There are plans for a balance patch. Want all eight characters released first before moving forward with it.
• Want to continue keeping KI a mix between different types of characters.
• Plans for Stage Ultras in the future.
• Still love the idea for ‘respect taunts’.
• May do a poll asking what characters people want to see in the future.
• Sadira’s Classic Costume is imagined as how she would have looked in the 1990s.
• They experience with No Mercy moves in the past. Jago had his own No Mercy move where he threw his opponent up in the air and cut him in half.
• Story/Arcade Mode is the same thing.
• When asked if Story Mode has only one boss, they said it would depend on how you play.
• Have not talked about Glacius’ back dash on wake up.
• May change the color of Spinal’s skull colors for Spinal vs. Spinal match-ups.
• Having conversations about moves that would utilize double meter.
• It was not a difficult decision to remove Orchid’s tonfas.
• If Eyedol and/or Gargos were to be implemented into the game at some point, they would likely be completely redesigned.
