Early this morning, the Top Eight players for this year’s Texas Showdown Killer Instinct tournament competed for the championship. There some incredible matches from some of the fighting game community’s top players such as Justin Wong, who was ultimately defeated by a Glacius player named Youtuube. In the end, it was well known FG player EG PR Balrog who ultimately won the champion with Orchid against MyGod C88, a Sabrewulf player. Balrog had the disadvantage by being in the losers bracket, thus needing to win six games as opposed to mygod’s three. Balrog managed to pull it off, taking not only his first win at a Killer Instinct tournament, but the first win for an Orchid player as well.

A huge congratulations to PR Balrog on his victory and to everyone who participated!

  1. The line above that reads “managed to pull it off” needs to be changed to “absolutely dominated his opponent”. What else would you call a 6-0.
